  • Hypnosis to solve crimes

    • From: jennilee
    • Description:

Lt. Kevin Ficke joined the Hays County Sheriff's Office less than 2 months ago.  When he did, the Sheriff's Office got a certified hypnotist.  Lt. Ficke says it is used as a last resort, when all other leads have been exhausted.  He has not used forensic hypnosis yet because he has to clear it with the Hays County District Attorney's Office.  They are the ones who have to defend it in court.

Ficke says forensic hypnosis is not like the other kinds.  See my story for a full explanation under Crimewatch.

Do you think Hays County should start using forensic hypnosis to try to solve crimes?

  • Ban on a type of prayer in sch

    • From: rbb50
    • Description:

Coach Marcus Borden used to bow his head and drop to one knee when his football team prayed. But the Supreme Court on Monday ended the practice when it refused to hear the high school coach's appeal of a school district ban on employees joining a student-led prayer.

Justices ruled that there is no place in schools for prayer when they are trying their hardest to teach kids how to be liberal drug addicts and derelicts in the public school systems.

One justice wrote, "In today’s world where liberal democrats have to lie cheat and steal elections we do not need prayer in school to teach kids how to be responsible when the liberal policies of teaching them to be drug addicts and derelicts depending on free hand outs from the government works so much better to get liberal democrats elected".

Another justice wrote, "Without dimwitted drug addict derelicts in our school system there would not be much need for us and we could lose our jobs if we ever tried to introduced responsibility in the government run public school systems”.

A few liberal democrat senators responded by saying, “Good grief if we cannot graduate total drug addicts and derelicts with no clue about anything from the government run public school systems do you think we would even be able to pocket half of that 780 billion dollar stimulus bill as a way to buy ourselves new cars boats and houses in the Bahamas”?

Another senator responded by saying, “I already bought me a giant cabin cruiser and a house in the Bahamas with my stimulus bill cut and if we had responsibility and prayer put back into the school systems and actually taught our kids how to be responsible I never would have been able to steal that…. I mean earn that money from taxpayers without them being totally outraged and calling for my resignation”.

When Obama was asked he stated, “Well there is no place for prayer or any kind of accounting or fiscal responsibility in the public school systems and in fact only the Koran or books on Marxism and Communism and other scholarly books about how to be a radical Muslim or Communist should be allowed in public schools anyway just like Bill Ayres taught me a long time ago when I was in school”.

Ted Kennedy while trying to push everyone out of the way to get in front of the camera said, “Ask not what you can do for your government but what your government can steal from other hard working people to give to you”. Which seemed to be totally unrelated to what the subject was but we let him talk since being half brain dead like Ted Kennedy is a good example of how we want all of our children to turn out.

Nancy Polosi said, “Shame on a coach for actually trying to teach responsibility and instill respect for their elders into kids he is teaching. We have worked over 50 years now to make sure all of our kids are total drugged out dimwits and have no clue that we are stealing them blind as a way to make sure all liberal democrat politicians become multimillionaires while those same kids are so dumb they still think we are the answer to every problem they create for themselves by being total drugged out dimwits”.

One can see just why liberal democrats do not want school prayers only in that if they were never banned back in the 1960s and responsibility and respect were taught to kids in liberal government run public school systems since the 1960s instead of liberal agendas designed to turn kids into worthless morons, Then the liberal democrats would already be a super minority party with only a few hundred votes in any election they ran in along with being the butt of all jokes told about how ignorant all of their policies are.

I can sure see why the justices that were not elected and only given jobs for favors such as being good drug dealer connections or funneling drug money proceeds into money washing machines for liberal democrat politicians and being able to have bundles of work from the drugged out dimwits the public school systems pump out who end up in their courts.

I had to think if I had no education was a total moron and a drug addict but then some liberal democrat told me, “Hey you can have this job for $150,000 a year and you do not have to do a thing except ask us what to say or do when you give a decision along with we will give you all kinds of laundered drug money we get to spend on what ever you want without ever having to pay taxes on it”. That would be tempting for a drugged out moron.

As it is we had school prayer in the schools I attended and they also taught us to be responsible for our own lives so I would have to turn offers of bribes and general illegal activities liberal democrat politicians have always been engaged in since I was born down.

If I were a politician I sure could show people how to read the constitution where there is no clause what so ever about separation of church and state and only that it is unconstitutional for the government to restrict any religion or free speech what so ever in any public school which by the way is owned by the public not the government at all.

Of course it would be hard to get voted into office with a platform like that when a big majority of people did come from those “teach kids to be a drug addict moron schools” for the last 30 years and they are so ignorant they do believe everything liberals tell them without question which was proven when Hussein Obama told thousands of lies to get elected along with having millions of illegal aliens voting illegally for him and everyone of those drugged out morons believed everything he said without question.

You can tell a total drugged out moron the truth and they will not ever believe it when another lie is told by someone else that promises them something for nothing only if they do not believe the truth and only what they say without question in every case.

  • Asian Americans should change

    • From: jennilee
    • Description:

Did I hear the tv right today?  Or did I fall and hit my head?  Someone tell me, did I really hear an elected official say, on the record, that Asians should change their names so Americans can have an easier time saying them?!  And if I am not delusional, I believe I also heard her refer to Asians as "your citizens" when talking to the Asian American man testifying before her today.

Betty Brown appears to be of sound mind so that's why I'm not sure I heard right!

And has she really not apologized yet?!  Is she waiting for an invitation...perhaps written in Chinese?!

Kudos to the Democratic Party for standing up and saying something.

And she told Rudy Koski that it was 1am and that was part of the reason for the comment.  So what, after the clock strikes midnight, we're allowed to become racist?

For the love of Pete, does this woman not have a media advisor?  Apologize already Betty.

Jeff Ward was making fun of you today too.

  • Gov't/State Help Agencies & Or

    • From: Pathfinder
    • Description:

I wanted to raise awareness that if you’re sick & disabled you should avoid TX like the plague.

I’ve dealt with years of abuse/neglect.  I’ve dealt with years of health problems.  I’ve dealt with sudden deaths.  Plus I’ve dealt with disownment.  This is what my first 35+ years on this earth have brought me.

The last 5+ years I’ve been looking for help.  I was before but I’ve really been concentrating hard on it these last 5+ years.  But the last 5+ years has gotten me the same old abuse, neglect, disrespect & exploitation plus also lied to, used, ripped off, kicked out & left homeless, dumped, sexually harassed, sexually assaulted, raped, stalked & cyber-stalked.  Folks, this is from family, total strangers, businesses, licensed pros of various kinds & also Gov’t/State “help” agencies & orgs.  There is no help to be had.

I won SSDI 10/07.  Where’s my advocate?  Where’s my case-manager?  Where’s my social worker?  Because if I had one I wouldn’t even be here right now…nor would my only child & all I have left in the world.  Somebody would’ve stopped her "dad"…who should be in prison or an institution.  Since she’s mentally incompetent she’d be in a home.  And I wouldn’t be running around in circles chasing my own tail…still.

We are here & I came with a section 8 housing voucher.  I told everybody I wanted my own place.  Then I told the housing authority all I have here is an ex I dumped over 20 years ago & our kid.  He won’t help me & she can’t.  I told them I’d need help finding a place & moving into it.

After all this first I ended up stuck with a child pervert who kept me so broke I couldn’t have moved out even if I’d found a place.  He also dumped housekeeping & his pit bull on me & expected me to play his personal taxi.  But eventually he kidnapped a teen & went to jail for it.  Now he’s in prison for at least 20 years for molesting his own daughter.

I called the housing authority & they said call an apartment locator.  So I did to no avail.  Then they told me to call 211.  So I did to no avail.  After 2 mo’s my voucher expired leaving me stuck here.  I tried to have it extended to no avail.  Then I learned my ex & kid was moving in.  I called APS before they got here to no avail.  I went over their heads to the Office of Consumer Affairs I believe it is to no avail.

This is a 2 bedroom house & there’s 3 of us.  Most of the vents don’t work & there’s no insulation so the electric bills are ridiculous.  My ex knew this before they moved in & although he had months to find something bigger/better he didn’t.  Now he’s blaming us for the bill & expects us to live in the dark.  He’s also almost turned off the AC…so I’ve been sick for 6 mo’s.

He’s dumped the organizing, housekeeping, our adult child & all her problems (bills/food/household needs), playing her personal taxi, their 2 pets (& his dog has fleas which he’s spread to our cats making them sick but my ex won’t fix any of them) & the yard on me.  But I’m sick/disabled & our child’s mentally incompetent so everything’s going down the tubes.  If I complain there’s the threat of being kicked out & left homeless losing everything I’ve ever worked for or inherited held over my head.  Because TX has no public housing…or any decent medical/mental health care as far as that goes.

So I called DHS.  I need help.  But they won’t send help because they claim I have 2 healthy/sane adults living here who should be helping.  Yes they should but they don’t which is called abuse, neglect, disrespect & exploitation.

Since no one will help me I’m forced to “shop” at convenience stores & fast food restaurants.  This is where much of my money goes.

Now DHS is claiming I need to pay 1/3 of the rent & electric or they claim I get $250/mo more then I actually do.  They’re calling this ghost money “gifts & contributions”.  This money’s knocking me over some limit so they’re denying my QMB…which is why I wrote the Gov. in the first place.  So he turned it over to DHS & DHS told me to call 211.

Would you all try it?  Try 211 & see how it goes.  If they give you any numbers try them too.  Listen to all the “policies” & “procedures” & “formulas” plus “lack of funds” that keep them from actually helping people.  Talk show hosts & TV shows like Extreme Make-Over Home Edition help humans more then our own Gov’t does…& that’s pretty pathetic.

They need to change the formula.  It shouldn’t exist in the first place.  This is not a roomie situation.  My adult child & I share a room or one of us sleeps on the couch.  We’re living out of boxes…again.  I either play servant…& a disrespected one at that…not to mention watch 3 pets with fleas scratch themselves to death…or I’m out.  And even if I paid 1/3 of everything…I still wouldn’t have any room or any rights.  I would still be treated like a dog…which is why I dumped my ex over 20 years ago…only to realize I was pregnant with his kid.

But if there must be a formula then let it match the housing authority or HUD’s.  Let them base rent acc’d to what I make.  Let them take into consideration 2 people are living on it.  Also let them take into consideration all of our bills.  I promise my rent will be nothing or close to it.

There’s no housing here.  I need about $1,000 to go home where there is housing…& that’s if I move myself by myself like I did getting here.  I really shouldn’t but if I must I suppose I will.  I wrote the Governor, Senator & Commissioner plus DHS & Legal Aid.  They're going to have to dump the formula or at least change it.  They should also make verbal/mental abuse as illegal as physical & sexual then do something about all 3.  But I doubt seriously any of this is going to do me any good.  I really think I'm about to have to pack what I can in my car & take off losing everything else including my only child.

Some parts of TX are beautiful.  But if you're sick & disabled there is no help here so you should avoid it like the plague.

  • Liar, Liar

    • From: jennilee
    • Description:

It turns out, the woman who said an hispanic man tried to sexually assault her at the Domain Sunday didn't tell the truth.  One day after police held a press conference to tell us about this alleged terrifying crime, they held another press conference to pretty much say it was a hoax.  They say something happened but not attempted sexual assault. They say the victim will probably not face charges.

I call bs on that.  If you're going to waste detectives' time---by the way, APD doesn't  have enough people anyway--then you need to face the consequences.  False reporting is a problem and that woman should be made an example out of.  How many people were scared by this? (I'm sure the Domain people aren't happy) And the description released was half the Hispanic population in Austin.

      Way to go fake victim.

  • IDOL REVIEW 4.7.09

    • From: FOX7_IDOL_EDGE
    • Description:

      IDOL TOP 8

      4.7.09

Tonight’s blog is a cliff’s notes version because 1 – I don’t feel well(read angry). 2 – FOX didn’t program the show correctly and both my Time Warner DVR and my Tivo cut off after Matt Giraud(that’s right, I record American Idol on two TVs). 3 – I’m not sure anyone really reads/ cares about these reviews anyway(and if you do, you need to comment and tell me so). This is where I would stick my tongue out at you if I could.

      And off we go…

No big judge intro this week? Thank goodness they lost that dead weight. Is Kara next to go? One can only wish.

We start with baby pics of the judges. Randy = cute. Kara = not so cute. Paula = looks the same(insert cute or not so cute here depending on your opinion of Paula). Simon = bad ass.  Ryan = so not cute(good thing he improved with age…and orthodontics).

      Danny Gokey

28-year-old from Milwaukee – the oldest contestant

Sings “Stand by Me” from 1980

His goatee kind of makes him look like a marionette. I don’t dig this arrangement, but it’s Gokey so of course his vocal sounds good. He kicks it up a notch half way through. Paula is out of her seat doing the clap. He he. The clap.

Randy didn’t dig the arrangement but thinks he’s got talent.

Kara agrees with Randy and says he “killed it” and “turned it on its head.”

Paula says, “All I can say is WOW.” But then continues to talk. She mixes metaphors as usual and talks about setting the bar and running to catch up. She then mentions “chord substitution.” Is that a real term? I’m guessing not since Simon is cracking up.

Simon thought the beginning was good, the middle lazy and the end terrific.

      Kris Allen

      23-year-old from No Where, Arkansas

Sings “All She Wants to do is Dance” from 1985

This set up is doing nothing for his credibility. He is surrounded by screaming girls and looks more like a boy band buddy than ever. His mouth/facial expressions still bug the crap out of me. I am not in love with this song nor performance. The honeymoon is over. I’m back to not digging on Kris.

Kara is a huge fan but this performance felt like jazz funk homework.

Paula thought he changed it up and he is one of the most likeable contestants ever.

Simon agrees that he is likable but says this was indulgent, boring, forgettable and stupid.

      Randy agrees with Simon.

      Lil Rounds

      24-year-old from Memphis

Sings “What’s Love Got to do With it” from 1984

She’s attempting to emulate Tina. Bad idea. She seems confused. She’s trying to look and sound like Tina…but keeps adding in these random riffs to make it her own. Another bad idea. She has a decent voice but completely lacks originality. Another bad idea? That cheap wig. Ugh.

Paula thinks she looks hot and then babbles on endlessly. I’m thinking she didn’t like it but the way she is continuously contradicting herself leaves me confused.

Simon tries to clear up what Paula was babbling about(thank you, Simon) by saying we are not looking for a second or third rate version of Tina. He calls it a ghastly copycat performance and says we have lost Lil.

Paula says, “That is what I said.”

Simon says, “But I make more sense, Paula.”

She disagrees. I, however, fully agree.

Randy thinks Lil is mad, mad talented but he didn’t dig. He says it’s not clicking.

Kara tells her she’s struggling to make the leap from singer to artist.

      Anoop Desai

      23-year-old from Chapel Hill, NC

      Sings “True Colors” from 1986

Remember when Kodak used this in all their commercial campaigns? Am I the only one who remembers that? I love me some vintage adverts. You should see how happy I am in the commercial viewing room at the Coca Cola museum. I’m giddy just thinking about it.

Regarding Anoop’s attire, Zap2itBrill wrote this on Twitter: If Anoop's cardigan was Fruit Stripe gum (which it may very well be) it would be lime flavor. (BTW – if you have a Twitter account, click HERE to follow the FOX 7 Idol Edge.)

      Regarding Anoop’s performance, it’s fine…but a bit boring. That’s all I can say really.

Randy congratulates the Tarheels saying they are a hot team. He then says Anoop was hot tonight too.

Kara says he controlled the song and did not let it control him. “That is what it’s all about,” according to Kara.

Paula thought the choice of song was flawless, his phrasing was beautiful and where it “sat in his voice” was truly magical. He showed us his true colors, just like a rainbow. Puke.

Simon calls him a “singing yoyo” saying one minute he’s down, the next minute he’s up. He thought it was very good – but not fantastic, btw.

      Scott MacIntyre

      23-year-old from Scottsdale, AZ

Sings “The Search is Over” from 1985

Wow, no piano this week. He is holding an axe though. Not sure if he’s going to play it or just wear it like Allison did last week. Here he goes – strumming one chord over and over. Impressive. OK – it is just not right that he’s singing about looking in your eyes and realizing the search is over. Are there no songs that avoid eye contact? Seriously. I am jolted out of my blinding rant by Scott shouting “good LUCK!” This is awful. I wish I was deaf. Temporarily, of course.

Kara commends him for trying something different. She says there were parts she liked and parts she didn't like. Kara is a genius.

Paula gives him credit for stepping away from the piano and recommends an acoustic guitar rather than an electric one. Scott says this was his punk side coming out. It all makes perfect sense now. Thanks for clearing that up. Now, can you clear up Paula’s incessant nonsense?

Simon suggests that he go back to the piano next week. He calls the song “atrocious” and thinks the performance was “weird.”

Randy says it was just OK and didn't show him off as a star.

      Allison Iraheta

16-year-old from LA, CA – the youngest finalist

Sings “I Can't Make You Love” from 1992

I am still amazed by how mature her voice is. This is a good song choice vocally. I would enjoy this a lot more if this song wasn’t so freaking played out. She was good though.

Paula seal claps and then says Allison’s voice is a gift you can’t put a price tag on. She loves the tenderness she added to the song – which made it her own. Really? The original has no tenderness? Take another listen, crazy pants.

Simon thought it was very good but says she needs to become a bit more likeable.

It reminded Randy of Kelly Clarkson. DAMN. I am so sick of the comparisons. Especially since they are constantly telling these kids to be themselves and then turning around and instructing them on which artist they should study/ sing and which artist they are just like. Mr. Walking Contradiction says Kelly can sing her face off and so can Allison.

Kara believes she made an adult song young and current. She ends with, “Let’s go make a record, man.”

      Matt Giraud

The 23-year-old dueling piano player from Kalamazoo, MI

      Sings "Part-Time Lover" from 1985

This is a great song choice and a great performance. Matt is my new Kris. I dig it.

The judges keep their comments short b/c we are running out of time. Oh, wait, no we aren’t. The show can just run past the scheduled time. No worries.

      A-holes.

Randy says that it was vocally one of the best of the night.

Kara says it was amazing on every level. “Unbelievable,” she remarks.

Paula has two words for him, “Standing O!” So that’s her O face. I didn’t need to see that. Her standing O is accompanied by a cheerleading power pump. I didn’t need to see that either.

Simon says it was a million times better than last week.

      Adam Lambert

      27-year-old from Hollywood

      Sings “Mad World” from 1982

Since my recording ended prematurely, I will post a few comments I found online regarding Adam’s performance:

It's a pulled-back, haunting performance — which I prefer to his crazy Steven Tyler schtick. – TV Guide

The judges ran out of time, so Simon was the only one to say anything about the performance AND HE GAVE A STANDING OVATION! Holy cow, it was great. – a commenter on fafarazzi.com

If tonight was any indication, Adam Lambert will win season 8 of "American Idol."  - The Los Angeles Times

SO who’s going home? Watch FOX 7’s Idol Chat tomorrow on GOOD DAY AUSTIN around 8:45am.

      American Idol Review

      5.12.09

      Top 3

The show begins and not only is Adam Lambert in the spotlight, but Danny and Kris are as well. Will Katherine hate it quite as much if they all get to do it?

As the opening credits roll, I must tell you that I got a new laptop. It's teeny tiny and I love it.

OK. On to the show. The chick from Lie to Me is in the audience. You'd think they'd have someone from Fringe there to focus on since the finale is tonight. What do I know? I only work in promotion.

Ryan tells us we are down to the three amigos and then intros the judges, who are, unfortunately, not able to be called the three amigos due to that extra baggage seated between Randy and Paula. Boo.

The top three hit the stage and Kris Allen looks awkward and out of place between the other two heavy weights. He seriously looks as if he believes he doesn't belong there. I believe he is right. Allison was robbed!

First up, we head to Danny Gokey's hometown of Milwaukee and learn that Danny is singing Paula's song choice, “Dance Little Sister” by Terrence Trent Darby.

He looks like he's constipated - I mean, concentrating. This is a terrible song choice for him. This is so not good. AND, this is the first time that I will admit Danny MAYBE should have gone home last week. Allison was robbed!

Randy says, “Let the games begin.” He then refers to this as the way to jump it off tonight and calls the performance “dope.”

Dead weight likes that Paula picked this song b/c it keeps Danny in his “money spot.” She did not like the gyrating dancing though and she isn't sure she will remember the performance tomorrow. What's HER name again?

Paula is a choreographer and she thinks he did really good...fantastic even.

Simon thinks the dancing was a bit desperate but his biggest problem was the toy sax solo in the middle. He apparently liked it – though he didn't say so in so many words. He does, however, think it was the wrong song choice.

Next, we head to Arkansas to learn that Kris' first song was chosen by Randy(they list Kara's name as well, but let's be honest, she just parrots whatever Randy says). He is singing “Apologize” by One Republic.

Kris is on piano tonight and his face is in full force Mayer mode. He is sliding to the notes and it's killing my ears. His tone is inconsistent. This is karaoke for me...very amateur. I am so not loving tonight so far. Alison was robbed!

Randy rambles and doesn't give much of a critique.

The bane of my existence says it was a really confident performance but she thinks Kris didn't hit it out of the park. She says he should take more chances by doing something like playing accoustic guitar. 'Cause nothing says “guts” like something you've done before. God, I hate her.

Princess P heard a loud bum note but she is so proud of Kris. She says all three of them are worthy of the top two spots. Based on that non-critique, I'd say Paula is fibbing.

Simon calls what Kara said a “cop out.” He tells her that she can't choose a song for someone and then blame them for doing the song. Note to Simon: Randy chose the song. He says it was a competent version of the original but not quite as good.

Argument between Simon and Kara/Randy ensues b/c Simon says they should have worked out the arrangement for Kris. Randy claims he didn't know they were allowed. C'mon guys, we all know the show is steered by the judges and producers. Don't act like the contestants make the decisions themselves.

Seacrest asks Kris how Simon's criticism has affected him. Kris responds that he is always going to say who he is. Really? I don't remember Kris saying much the entire season.

Kara is covering Simon's mouth. Ewww. Cooties.

The Kardashians are there. I wonder why? Oh, yeah. Ryan produces their trainwreck of a “reality” show.

San Diego native Adam is singing Simon's choice, “One” by U2. Simon brags about how he got permission from Bono himself to use this song. Simon and Bono sitting in a tree...

Dark stage. Uh oh. KK is cringing and possibly screaming at the screen. Adam is starting out very soft and understated. He sounds great, of course. Paula apparently has ants in her pants that make her want to dance b/c she is bouncing on her booty. Adam is picking it up now. He's a little screechy... I ain't gonna lie. He's doing a different twist/ arrangement with the song. I guess that was Simon's idea.

I didn't love it, but at least it wasn't boring.

Randy says, “Yo. Dude.” He then says Adam is definitely still in the zone and calls him one of the hottest three in this competition. That was such a stupid Kara thing the say. There are three contestants. Of course he's one of the three hottest. The Dawg doesn't know if he loved it. Simon boos. But, he calls Adam “really, really talented.”

What's her name calls him “an amazing strategist.” She calls the arrangement original and unbelievable and then says, “See what I mean Simon?” Of course he does. Simon already insinuated that he chose the arrangement. She is an idiot.

Paula says sitting next to a gloating Simon is miserable. “It was one brilliant song, one superb performance and one American Idol that I am staring at right now,” she says.

The bloater – I mean, gloater, thought it was a BRILLIANT song choice and brilliant, brilliant performance. He says that if Adam is not in the finals it will be one of the greatest upsets.

Gokey is up again. This time he is singing “You are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker. $100 says he's singing it for his wife.

It's a very soft arrangement and feels like typical Gokey. He is on pitch, on key but he's off the radar.

I'm so fricking bored. Alison was robbed!

Randy says, “Yo. Check it out.” He calls the song amazing and he loved that DG showed he can really X 3 sing. “Mad vocals,” he says.

WOS(waste of space) calls it “stunning,” She says there is nothing else to say...and then adds an “amazing.” Idiot.

PA says that by changing the chord structure and infusing the gospel and R&B into it, he nailed it.

Simon would not have done that arrangement but he would call that a “vocal masterclass.” What's the difference between a “vocal masterclass” and a “vocal masterpiece?” Oh, I know. One is the absolutely wrong term. Guess which one.

Kris Allen is up next singing “Heartless” by Kanye West. MAN, he must have a genius idea about an original idea for this song b/c if not, this is pure suicide.

He's on accoustic guitar – which is funny since judge #4 suggested that “original” concept last time around. Why must the top three always include a contestant who is so completely average? He is 120 percent lame. Alison was robbed!

Randy thinks this is going to be one of the toughest voting nights of the whole year. He liked this version better that the Fray's and Kanye's version. Randy is off his rocker. And, btw, he better stay out of dark alleys. Kanye is going to murder him.

Her Obnoxiousness gives him kudos, calls it perfect and asks why he didn't do that with “Apologize?” Ummmmm, because he was planning to do it with “Heartless?”

Paula calls him the bravest artist for singing a song about Scowell. She commends him and says, “bravo.”

Simon sez that after that first lame song choice he had written Kris off. But that all changed after this performance.

I am so not on board with the judges tonight. I think they must act like all three are superb to validate that the show is on par. But I'm not so sure it is.

Finally, Adam Lambert sings “Cryin” by Aerosmith.

I already know Cruz thinks this is garbage b/c he text me. And, I must say, I agree. This may well be Adam's worst performance of the season. He's yelling. He's screeching. He is not wowing me at all.

Randy thinks he is one of the best they have ever had on the stage. He loved this even more than “One.” I am so hating Randy tonight.

Speaking of garbage, Kara thought it was amazing and she says, “We'll see you at the finals.”

Paula claims that if Steven Tyler were a mentor, he would not have anything to say. She mentions something about flying high -and as we all know, nobody knows more about flying high than Paula. Though she has never had a drink in her life. Uh, huh.

SC is not going to suck up as much as the other three b/c, he says, it's very easy to assume Adam is going to sail through to the finals. Instead, he says, the show is about finding a star who has earned the right to be in the final and he thinks Adam deserves it.

Well, I thought tonight sucked. That's no secret is it? I also think it's no secret who I think needs to go. And finally, it is no secret that many, many of you will disagree with me...so go for it.

  • Sex assault defendant gone

    • From: jennilee
    • Description:

27-year-old, Chelsea Radcliff, was sexually assaulted by a taxi cab driver who took her home from West 6th Street.  Sebastiao DeCastro, however, will not face an Austin court for that crime because he is in Brazil.  Radcliff says that is a result of the actions of Judge Charlie Baird.  Baird gave DeCastro a 75,000 bond for the sexual assault charge.  Then police filed a burglary charge a few days later because they discovered that the cab's gps proved DeCastro went back to RadCliff's apartment.  She says that's when she was sexually assaulted.  But DeCastro just paid the first bond and Baird says he didn't have anymore money so the judge gave DeCastro a pr bond.  DeCastro ended up fleeing to Brazil.

Do you agree with the victim that the judge should not have given the suspect a pr bond?

  • I disagree with T.O. release

    • From: johnhygh
    • Description:

I am speaking as a Dallas Cowboys fan, not as a sportscaster.  I've always liked Terrell Owens.  Even with all of his antics.  He is one of the best football players I've ever seen.  The Cowboys knew what they were getting when they signed him.  Owens has done everything asked of him on the field.  He's even toned down his opinions, which were right most of the time.  I've been fortunate to cover the Cowboys the last two years, and when he talks in a press conference, he speaks the truth.  Some may not like what he says, but it's hard to disagree with what he was saying.  The play calling this past season was not good, and Tony Romo did make a lot of mistakes.  I don't see anything wrong with a great player wanted to contribute and have the ball in his hands.  All great players want the ball in their hands.  Could T.O. handle his sideline antics differently?  Sure, but in the heat of battle sometimes people go off, and then life goes on.  I don't think T.O. was the problem with the Cowboys.  He made them a better team.  With that said, I'm not in the locker room with these guys.  I don't know how he acts among other players.  I heard T.O. got into it with Jason Witten, Tony Romo, and Jason Garrett.  Get over it.  In sports there are times when everyone doesn't agree.  That's just life.  You have to move on and keep stepping.  Unfortunately, in my opinion, that's exactly what the Cowboys have done, and I totally disagree with this move(as a fan).  Let me know what you think about Terrell's release.  I'd like to hear what you have to say about it.  Oh, and by the way, everyteam Owen's has played for, he's produced big numbers.  And please don't come back at me with, he drops a lot of balls.  Everybody drops passes, but can everybody produce like he does when he has the ball?  I don't think  so.  All you have to do is look at his statistics over the years.  He's a playmaker.  Terrell's a hall of fame receiver with a few good years left.  I'm just disappointed it won't be with the Cowboys.

  • A 21 Million Dollar Governor's

    • From: hermanbethany
    • Description:

What is really going on with our state? I was watching the news last night and saw that Rick Perry wants to use some of money allotted to our state from the stimulus package the rebuild the Governor's mansion? This is utterly ridiculous! That money is to help our country get out of an economic crisis, not for Rick Perry and his wife to have a new house. I know that the Governor's mansion needs to be rebuilt, but 21 million dollars? That's going a little too far. That money could be going towards rebuilding my six year old daughter a new school since her school is so overcrowded that they have almost 30 children in each class and instead they want to build a new house? It just doesn't make any sense to me. Someone needs to do something about this and manke our Governor open his eyes and see that this money isn't for his use only. It is supposed to be helping our economy.

  • PBO's Porkulous Spending Bill

    • From: rbb50
    • Description:

Now that the liberal news medias helped PBO with all of the propaganda they could spew out on the pork spending bill that does not create any jobs at all and only spends money on welfare and food stamp programs for illegal aliens I am sure all of the illegal aliens and drug addicts that got out the vote for PBO are very proud about how they tacked on a $50,000 debt for all of their grandkids for nothing accomplished from it all.

For all of the liberal news medias that of course never read the bill it also has a clause that allows the attorney general to ban all guns if he wants any time he wants and do completely away with the 2nd amendment as a way to also do away with the 1st amendment and allow the government to dictate what can and cannot be allowed on the airways.

Yes kind of in the same way Saddam Hussein ran his own country evidently that is how PBO wants this country to be run under his own dictatorship.

Sorry PBO but I’m not buying it and not only that I’m not buying anything until your communist dictatorship is over.

No TV converter no new TV no new car no new house not much of anything and I’ll let my clothes turn almost to rags before I even consider buying new ones.

It is not worth it at all to me to buy anything at all for as long as I live in a dictatorship such as PBO has proposed and while having the nazi democrat party try to use propaganda as a way to make the dictatorship look as if it is somehow good for this country.

Sorry to tell you PBO but word on the farm is there is not going to be much buying of much of anything for as long as you keep telling lies and trying to run this country into the ground.

I know PBO’s education is so far below par and only a 3rd grade equivalent but if you can read “Run spot run” or “Jack and Jill went up the hill” then you can also flip open a page in a history book telling a story about the Boston Tea Party.

Welcome to the Texas Tea Party of 2009 PBO

Texan's aren’t buying it PBO so you will have to try to sell your spoiled meat and peanuts some place else.

  • APD Officer attacked

    • From: jennilee
    • Description:

During a traffic stop in April of 2008, Detective David Nordstrom was attacked by a passenger with a box cutter.  Nordstrom says Joshua Landa cut in in the face and his neck.  Doctors say if the cut on the neck was just 2 mm deeper, Nordstrom would have bled to death.  In May 2009, Landa went to trial on his attempted capital murder charge, which is punishable up to 99 years in prison.  Despite the near fatal attack, Landa received 10 years probation.

What do you think...fair or unfair punishment?

  • catch a cheating spouse

    • From: bigmike555
    • Description:

Do you suspect that your wife is cheating on you? If you do, you are definitely not alone. Infidelity is actually quite common these days. You can see it all over the media and almost everyone knows or has heard of someone who has been cheated on, in one way or another.

Discover how to catch a cheating spouse from a private eye.

If you are a husband who thinks that your wife is unfaithful, there are a number of signs that you will want to be on the lookout for. The following are four signs that could very well confirm your suspicions.

      1 - A Change in her Appearance

If your wife has gone through a change in her appearance, it could be a sign that she is cheating on you. What you will want to look for is small, but significant changes in appearance.

For example, has she always worn glasses but has all of a sudden opted for contact lenses? Has your wife recently started showing more skin? Dressing provocatively is a common sign of cheating, especially if your wife typically dresses conservatively. Switching perfumes or wearing it more often can be another sign of cheating. This can be done to impress a new man or to cover up another man's scent.

      2 - A Change in Affection

A change in the amount of affection that your wife shows you could be seen as a sign of her having an affair. For example, has your love life been happy and healthy in the past? Was your relationship filled with fun, adventure, and great sex? If so, has that changed? If your wife no longer compliments you as she did before or does something as simple as pull away during a kiss, an affair may be going on. Many cheating women try to avoid close contact with their husbands in fear of getting caught or letting their guilt show.

      3 - Secrecy

A wife becoming more secretive can often point to an extramarital affair. For example, does your wife spend too much time on the phone or the internet? If so, what does she say when you ask her what she is doing? If you receive a "nothing," or a "not your business," response, something may be going on.

In keeping with phone and internet use, does your wife automatically hang-up the phone whenever you walk into a room? Does she shut off the computer or try to block your view of it? If so, your wife's secrecy may mean that she is trying to cover up an affair.

      4 - Changes in Bills

One of the simplest ways to catch a cheating wife is to start paying your bills. In most relationships, this is the woman's responsibility, but you can make it yours. Examine your wife's cell phone bills. Does it show what phone numbers are called or what numbers text messages and pictures are received from? Also, closely examine credit card bills. Are there expenses listed for hotel rooms, vacations, restaurants, or anything else that you have no idea about? If so, you may have a cheating wife

The above mentioned signs are just a few of the many that you will want to look for to find out if she is having an affair. If you think that your wife is cheating on you, just be sure to keep your eyes and ears open. Unfortunately for the cheaters, they often make mistakes. Many women get so comfortable, that they slip up at one time or another. If you know what to look for, this is when you may be able to catch your wife cheating.

If you do find out that your wife is being unfaithful, you may want to carefully approach the subject. Never confront your wife in front of your children. Keep this matter from them since this is too painful and difficult to understand for adults, let alone for children. No matter how angry you are, do not get violent and try to keep your voice at a reasonable level. As hard as it can be, calming approaching the situation can better allow you and your wife to have an honest discussion. This is where you can decide what will happen you to and your relationship next.
