It looks like we will close out spring break this weekend with a continuation of warm and pleasant weather. Some changes are on the way as we head toward Tuesday of next week. A powerful upper-level storm system will pass just north of Texas that day. It should pass just close enough for a round of showers and thunderstorms, and maybe some severe weather up to our north. At this point, we aren't expecting a whole lot of rain on Tuesday, but we'll take anything. Below is the total rainfall estimate from The National Weather Service...

The average for our area is around a quarter inch. Some places could see up to half inch, with higher totals further north into North Texas. We could see another round of rain late next week with a fairly strong cold front. We will keep you updated!
