Officer Lenny Quintana No Billed

Now that a Travis County Grand Jury criminally cleared Austin Police Officer, Lenny Quintana, for shooting and killing Nathaniel Sanders back on May 11th, do you think he will be disciplined or even fired for that?

  • He apparently broke no laws.  Did he fail to follow policy and procedure?  The nature of the business is to make life and death decisions in the blionk of an eye.  Not many of us are capable of doing that and surviving intense scrutiny.  Police risk their lives for a pittance.  They risk their sanity and personal relationships.  People play games for multimillion dollar contracts.  I would break down and buy a ticket to a pro sports event if the loser(s) would face death.

Bottom line...cops deserve to be given a lot of leeway when judging their actions.  Perfection is a delusion and anyone who insists on judging anyone based on that model is nuts.

  • No telling with Austin what will happen to a hero on the police force that stopped a would be murderer from ever killing anyone.

This was a kid that robbed a guy at an ATM machine and even after he stole the money he shot the victim in the face anyway.

The way the APD treats their own police officers it is almost as if a memo from the chief has been circulated ostracizing any police officer that defends himself or the citizens of Austin in any way what so ever .

Next some police officers will be shot and it will be chalked up as they must have been bad cops because they were trying to arrest people in a crack house full of guns and in the mean time there will be some dead cops being buried but the crack house full of illegal aliens and gun toting crack addicts will still be in business the very next day.

Makes me wonder if Acevado is doing business with those crack addicts with money kick backs since more and more crack houses full of illegal aliens have popped up all over town since he took over.

Seems like they are really hot on those traffic tickets and such but when it comes to crack houses full of illegal aliens or blacks it is a hands off policy or that someone is paying to make sure the police leave those illegal businesses alone.
